Social network you want to login/join with: Due to expansion of the pre-contract team, the Rail business unit is seeking a Bid Manager to join the team in order to improve bidding capacity. The Bid Manager will be responsible for submitting completed bids to existing or prospective customers, on time and within budget, ensuring that all questions have been answered as fully as possible, and that Morgan Sindall is positioned with the best possible chance of success. This role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team. Experience within the civil engineering industry is essential for this role, ideally coming from a main contractor background in the Infrastructure environment. To be successful in this role, you will: Be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field Have previous senior level involvement in work winning Possess experience managing significant bids and other submissions to win profitable work Be able to contribute effectively and collaboratively within a small team environment with a flat management structure Demonstrate personal success in winning quality led bids, showcasing an innovative and creative approach Have worked within a large organisation, leveraging results from staff outside of your own team Have past experience of delivering major projects in an operational role, ideally at project manager level Understand commercial aspects including typical terms and conditions and procurement models Participate hands-on in major tender submissions Be highly literate - able to write and review winning tender submissions Be familiar with planning including production outputs for civil engineering works and the installation of mechanical and engineering works and commissioning Have experience managing design processes in tender or contract environments Have experience working in joint ventures and alliances or other collaborative working Be able to use judgement and make decisions in ambiguous situations Be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook What's in it for you?
