Henry Martin is partnering with a well-established contractor to assist in their search for a talented Bid Writer. Due to ongoing success, the pre-construction team is naturally expanding. Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented professional with a flair for writing persuasive content and a passion for delivering high-quality bids.

As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and tailored bid documents that clearly articulate the company's value propositions. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure submissions are engaging, client-focused, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Write and develop high-quality content for pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tender proposals, and presentations. Collaborate with bid managers, business development teams, and subject matter experts to gather and refine key information. Research client requirements, industry trends, and competitor activity to tailor responses effectively. Edit and proofread bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and a polished presentation. Maintain and manage a library of reusable content, ensuring it is regularly updated and aligned with best practices. Contribute to bid strategy discussions, helping to identify key themes and win strategies. Work to deadlines, managing multiple submissions simultaneously without compromising quality. Ensure all documents comply with client specifications and company branding guidelines.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a bid writing role, ideally within construction or a related industry. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create persuasive and engaging content. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it clearly. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign) is a plus. A proactive and collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest standard.

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company that values employee development and provides exposure to high-profile projects.
