Bids Manager

to join our respected Bids team within the Marketing and Business Development department at Ampa Group. Make an Impact : Lead and shape high-profile bids across a respected group, driving success with collaborative teams. Innovate and Grow : Continuously improve bid processes and deliver winning proposals that open new business opportunities. Own the Process : Take charge of the entire bid journey, building key relationships and contributing directly to business growth. In this key role, you’ll manage the production of RFPs, ITTs, pitches, and final stage presentations across our diverse group of companies. You’ll collaborate with teams to develop tailored strategies, manage the bid process from start to finish, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery. You will be:

Overseeing the bid process, including strategy meetings, content review, and managing bid/no bid decisions. Promoting best practice in bid management and implementing process improvements. Collaborating with the Marketing and Business Development team to support bid activities and projects. Identifying new opportunities through tender portals and procurement avenues. Challenging stakeholders on bid content and positioning. Maintaining and updating the central bid library and tracking all opportunities. Conducting debriefs and using feedback to improve bid performance. Continuously reviewing and improving bid templates and content for consistency.

You will need:

Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally gained from within a professional services environment. Strong ability to challenge stakeholders on content and positioning of bid and the ability to put forward balanced positions and challenge on bid/no bid decisions. Clear commercial acumen to help make informed decisions on revenue and profitability. Broad experience of tender and procurement processes of clients at different levels. Solid project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple dynamic priorities and deadlines. Creative and innovative thinking to continually develop our propositions. Experience in using document production and design software including Adobe Creative Suite. The ability to exercise good commercial judgement and diplomacy in complex situations.
