Mid-Level We are looking for Cover Musicians (Wind and Percussion) to work as part of a dynamic team delivering a visionary, socially driven children’s orchestra centre. Sistema Scotland’s vision is to improve lives and strengthen communities. Working with children, young people and their families, we focus on early intervention and stimulating generational social change. By playing music together in ensembles and orchestras, we aim to grow confidence, respect, teamwork and aspiration in the children, young people and communities we work with. We deliver our work through six Big Noise programmes: in Douglas in Dundee, Raploch & Fallin in Stirling, Govanhill in Glasgow, Torry in Aberdeen and Wester Hailes in Edinburgh. Cover Musicians enable us to continue our core delivery when Musicians are on leave or are unwell. They also help greatly in the build-up to important events when we need extra support to fully prepare the children. Cover Musicians are required to carry out a variety of roles including: Supporting or leading sessions Supervising children during break times Setting up and packing away the orchestras The selection process will take place in Douglas, Dundee; however, we will be accepting applications from Wind and/or Percussion Musicians who are interested in Cover at any of our other centres. The selection process will include a panel interview, a short audition, and a demonstration lesson. Fees:
£32.50 per hour for the first two hours and £27.50 per hour thereafter. Contract Type:
