About the Role: Our client, a well-established law firm based in London, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Billing Administrator to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Legal Aid and Legal Help billing, with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the firm's billing operations and ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process invoices for Legal Aid and Legal Help matters in line with regulatory requirements. Liaise with partners, solicitors, and clients regarding billing queries and discrepancies. Maintain accurate billing records, ensuring all information is up to date and compliant with relevant regulations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Support in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as required by the finance team. Handle account reconciliations and resolve any outstanding billing issues. Ensure that all Legal Aid and Legal Help claims are submitted in a timely and accurate manner. Keep up to date with changes in legal billing regulations and ensure the firm’s practices remain compliant. Skills and Experience: A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in billing, specifically within Legal Aid and Legal Help. Strong understanding of legal billing processes and regulations. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all tasks. Experience with billing systems and financial software, ideally in a legal setting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of initiative. Previous experience working within a law firm is highly advantageous. Knowledge of SRA regulations and compliance matters relating to billing. AAT qualification or similar financial qualifications are desirable but not essential. Seniority level
