THE ROLE BIM Manager This opportunity is aimed towards experienced individuals that have a high level of experience in the production and delivery of quality Digital Twins for Virtual Design in Construction (VDC) and Building Information Management (BIM) at both Strategic and Project levels in the construction industry. This position will give an individual the chance to work on some of the leading construction projects in the UK and worldwide, develop their future through Continuous Personal Development, and work with a skilled, talented, and multi-disciplinary team. The individual will also be exposed to all areas of the business, to produce a team member that is truly multi-disciplined. KEY FUNCTIONS This role will require the individual to: Facilitate and work at a Strategic level with Clients on their organisational requirements, standards, documentation, implementation and support. Lead and manage at a Project level on large Construction Projects, supporting BIM implementation, management and support. Conduct early design & constructability analysis reviews, and Report writing. Utilise different software to analyse and audit 3D models, 2D drawings and project data for their completeness against a BIM Execution Plan (BEP). Run clash detection routines and produce coherent reports based on findings. Production/review of project BEPs, documentation, workflows and their utilisation on projects. Conduct BIM Management activities. Review project programmes, identify areas of risk. Interact within and lead Coordination meetings internally and externally. Attendance of client consultations, co-ordination and other review meetings. PERSONAL QUALITIES The key is attitude and aptitude. Ability to lead and work as part of a Team whilst being resourceful and not afraid to use initiative. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE We have essential requirements that the applicant needs to have and some desirable requirements: Essential: Previous experience in the Construction / MEP Industry utilising BIM. High levels of experience with the use of software used by the business: Revit, Navisworks, Newforma. Ability to conduct clash detection tests and model reviews using Navisworks/Solibri. Higher levels of knowledge of the key spatial coordination rules. Knowledge of data analysis tools, PowerBi, Power-query. Good PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint). Ability to implement BIM Technology to facilitate project needs. Desirable: Higher Qualifications relevant to the industry, or extensive relevant experience. Knowledge of Autodesk Fabrication (formerly CADDuct). Experience in the use of EDMS systems. Skilled use of Solibri or Revizto. Skilled use of BIM Collab, BIM Track, BIM 360, and other reporting programs.
