Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic chef to prepare and serve meals for both our care home residents and school students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong understanding of dietary requirements, and the ability to create varied and balanced menus. Key Responsibilities: Plan and prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and preferences. Ensure all meals are nutritious, well-presented, and served on time. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards. Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste. Collaborate with care home and school staff to accommodate special dietary requirements. Supervise kitchen assistants and provide training as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a care home or school setting. Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions for different age groups. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. A valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service). Relevant culinary qualifications.
