Producing the latest generation of three and four cylinder petrol engines, and precision machining key engine components, the plant has recently celebrated 20 years of successful production. Operating seven days a week, with more than one engine rolling off the line per minute, the plant plays a key role in BMW Group’s global production network, supplying engines for BMW and MINI, including some of the latest plug-in hybrid vehicles. As the recipient of the UK Manufacturer Smart Factory Award 2023, our plant works with cutting-edge-technologies such as generative AI, robotics, NVIDIA Omniverse, digital twins, and computer vision. Dive into full-stack development and contribute to the creation of sophisticated systems utilizing both cloud and on-premises solutions, with exposure to industry-standard tools such as Apache Kafka. Generative AI & Computer Vision: Participate in pioneering projects that leverage AI to revolutionize our approach to problem-solving and automation. Full-Stack Development: Enhance your skills in both front and back-end development, understanding industry working and devops practices. Cloud & On-Premise Solutions: Gain experience with cloud technologies from providers like AWS & Azure in addition to on-premises deployments, ensuring versatile infrastructure knowledge. Apache Kafka Utilization: Work with industry standard real-time data streaming platforms to build robust and scalable systems. End-to-End System Delivery: Experience the satisfaction of developing and deploying full-fledged systems that meet critical business needs, working directly with users. Web Development & Low-Code Tools: Knowledge of web development and platforms like Oracle APEX will be an asset in creating efficient and user-friendly interfaces. SQL & Database Management: Utilize SQL to manage data effectively, shaping the backbone of our applications. Coontrol Engineering: Design and develop control systems for industrial processes and equipment. Develop control algorithms and strategies to optimize process performance. Qualifications and Experience Academic Excellence: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related STEM field and on track to achieving a 2.2 or above. Technical Versatility: Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Swift, and others where relevant. Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in collaborative environments, working with associates across various departments.
