We are looking for full-time Boat Builders to join our growing team working 07.00am-17.30pm Monday-Thursday (40 hours per week) on a permanent contract. Overtime may also be available and is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
Job Description The role will include the following:
Scribing and fitting Joinery parts
Fitting teak decks
Fitting external Stainless-steel hardware
Installation of windows, doors and furnishings
Using hand and machine tools
Fitting of GRP parts
And all other aspects of Boat Assembly
Essential Skills/Experience You will ideally have experience as a Boat Builder; however, this is not essential as we are keen to hear from experienced 1st & 2nd fix Carpenters, Window Fitters, Shop Fitters, Joiners, and Caravan/Motorhome fitters too!
You will:
Take pride in, and take responsibility for the work that you do
Be happy working under supervision, but competent working alone where required
Be confident using fixed machinery
Have a keen eye for accuracy
Possess strong organisational skills
Have good practical hand skills – Practical skills we find are often more important than qualifications!
Have basic knowledge of Health and Safety
Be hard working and reliable
Be able to show competence and experience in a variety of boat building skills
