Adept:us is recruiting for a BOM Controller (Bill of materials) for a Portsmouth based client who are at the forefront of engineering innovation within the marine industry. With a focus on sustainable and advanced solutions, it is committed to transforming the sector by introducing ground breaking products designed to enhance efficiency and push technological boundaries. We are seeking a BOM Controller to join our clients team and play a vital role in their ground breaking projects. This position will be key to the design and development of both current and future initiatives. Working closely with our clients industry-leading experts, you will take responsibility for creating, managing, and reporting on project BOMs from initial concept through to production. Responsibilities: Oversee the creation and ongoing maintenance of project BOMs, from initial project kick-off through to final delivery, ensuring alignment with the diverse scope of projects undertaken. Manage the Design Release process for components and assemblies, adhering to company release standards. Coordinate the creation and application of proprietary parts across the design office. Collaborate with IT and PLM specialists to develop BOM workflows, tools, and related interfaces. Work closely with Heads of Departments to plan and report on design releases in line with project timelines. Engage with key stakeholders, adapting to evolving circumstances and shifting priorities. Partner with our Supply Chain and manufacturing teams to synchronise component and assembly releases, manage "as-built" BOMs, and oversee Engineering Change control. Requirements: Extensive experience in the following areas:

Teamcenter RAC and Active Workspace (14.2 and 6.2). Teamcenter/NX integration. Change management processes. BOM Configuration and Product Configurator tools. As-Built BOMs. EBOM/MBOM management. Design BOM environments.

Eplan experience would be advantageous. A solid understanding of production manufacturing techniques is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team, giving and receiving instructions as needed. Committed to taking ownership of tasks, with a determined and self-motivated attitude to achieve challenging objectives. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, often under tight deadlines. Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
