Known for their friendly and supportive team environment, our client offers a diverse and rewarding role for an experienced Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant to join their successful practice. About the Role: As a Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant, you will play an essential role in maintaining high standards of client service across a variety of accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include: Bookkeeping : Overseeing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring records are up-to-date. VAT Returns : Preparing and submitting VAT returns with accuracy and efficiency. Accounts Preparation : Assisting with the preparation of straightforward accounts and financial statements for various clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Corporation Tax Returns : Supporting the preparation of corporation tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Self-Assessment Returns : Managing the preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, maintaining a high level of client communication and accuracy. About You: The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bookkeeping and a working knowledge of accounting processes. Our client is looking for someone with: Practical experience with bookkeeping software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). Strong knowledge of VAT, self-assessment, and corporation tax requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to handling tasks.
