Press Brake Setter/Operator
required for a manufacturing business in Plympton. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines within this role, with a key focus on quality assurance and problem solving. A day shift or late shift is available for this position on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate press brake machines. Perform program adjustments, read and interpret engineering drawings to make adjustments for quality production. Quality Assurance, inspect and measure finished products using tools like callipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet quality standards. Perform basic maintenance on press brake machines to ensure they remain in excellent condition. Identify and resolve issues during the production process to minimise downtime. Ensuring data capture is accurate and paperwork is completed. Adhere to company health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment. Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:
Proven experience as a Press Brake Setter and Operator. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Knowledge of various metals and their properties. Familiarity with measurement tools and techniques. Problem solving and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must be able to work a day or late shift pattern comprising of Monday to Friday.
