MANCHESTER

facility near the Airport. This position is ideal for a candidate who is a Team Player and willing to assist within all aspects of the day to day duties of the branch. The Branch Manager is to be performance and commercially driven, producing results for the Manchester Branch. The Branch Manager will manage and oversee the overall operations and personnel. The Branch Manager will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service is provided and ensure the successful operation and management of the branch. In addition, you will maintain a standard of prompt and efficient freight movement and ensure that all data entry is accurately recorded both manually and via the clients systems according to company and industry regulations and standards. Products to be included: General Import and Export. Courier. Security screening. Handling operations. Road operations. Third party logistics. The Branch Manager will set budgets accordingly with the Directors to ensure that revenue and profit goals are consistently met. The candidate will conduct regular customer calls to develop and improve performance & customer relations and gain new business in cooperation with the Sales and Service team. The candidate's professionalism will bring high levels of leadership and a great working culture. The candidate is expected to develop, coach and provide an enjoyable environment for learning and development in all areas of the business. Responsibilities will include: The management of the Manchester Site including customer service levels, warehouse operation and Security arrangements. Build and maintain effective working relationships with the customer base within Manchester and surrounding areas. Ensuring that the branch is fully compliant with all Security and Health and Safety requirements & regulations. Actively seek to improve processes and control costs within site. Responsibility of all staff training, appraisals, absence management, recruitment, investigations, and disciplinary action as appropriate. Ensuring the building is presented to a high standard of housekeeping. Ensuring all equipment is maintained to a high standard. Reporting any incidents or accidents in line with company policy. Ensuring all jobs are invoiced and costed accurately on a weekly basis. Planning, preparing reports as required by the Directors and monitor annual budget month on month. Being commercially focused, always looking to new growth opportunities to increase branch profits. Any other reasonable requests. Qualifications and Experience: Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively. Ensure operational Compliance with all Safety/Security & Customs requirements for Manchester office. In-depth knowledge of Air Cargo Industry, including pricing, sales and administration procedures. Proven verbal and written skills. Possess confidence in presenting information to key stakeholders. Ability to work with an operating budget. Effective decision maker. Ability to motivate and drive a successful team. Ability to plan and prioritise tasks. Ability to deliver results. High degree of initiative and self-sufficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be proactive and forward-thinking. Level CM security certificate desirable (training will be provided). Minimum 5 years relevant experience. Additional Details: Shift: Monday - Friday Hours: 09:00 - 17:30 Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 Car Allowance: £6,000 per annum Bonus: up to 25% bonus (On annual salary) based on Individual & Company Targets being reached Pension Scheme: Enhanced Other Benefits: Life Insurance & Private Medical Insurance
