We are looking for an experienced sales or operations manager to join our Truro office as Branch Manager, supporting our team of self-employed IFAs as well as all staff based from Truro. This position will report directly to the Managing Director of Abacus, and will have the following key responsibilities: Supporting and developing our self-employed IFA team within Truro (currently 22 in total) Running training programmes to help advisers with their CPD and client acquisition Recruiting and developing new IFAs Supporting the Truro Office Manager in order to build and develop the administration team Working with the Paraplanning team to help improve file quality and maximise the time IFAs are able to spend with their clients Working with the Compliance team to ensure consistent adherence to our high-quality standards What sort of person are you looking for? Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge, and understanding of all financial products, plans and product providers Experience as a successful Independent Financial Adviser Experience of managing and supervising advisers Desire to learn and continue to develop technical knowledge and understanding Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing Exceptional attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with departments across the business Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment Strong team player, proactively offering support to the team Strong organisational skills and able to manage a busy workload Can proactively demonstrate a desire to take responsibility for personal development, being aware of any knowledge gaps and actively working to close these gaps Act as a strong advocate of change Where will I be working? You will be based from our Truro office, and will need to be there at least 3-4 days each week. We’re incredibly flexible about when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for.
