The Cordons, Long Green, Cressing, Braintree, CM77 8DL . This is a busy branch with a turnover of around £6 million, a successful Tool Hire department, and 5 delivery vehicles. The Branch Manager has created a friendly, professional atmosphere with a great buzz and family feel.

As a

Branch Sales Manager , you will work closely with the Branch Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop a sales strategy that focuses on the proactive development of existing customers, lapsed customers, and attracting new ones to maximize profitable sales for the branch. You will engage the branch colleagues in the execution of the plan to grow and bring additional sales value into the business while delivering our Keyline strategy.

Our opening hours are Monday - Friday 7.00am - 5.00pm, no weekends! We like our weekends off at Keyline!

What will I be doing? No one day is the same in Keyline branch life. Now that you have your newfound product knowledge, here are a few pointers: Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers, so it’s essential that you can engage and inspire the branch colleagues to support in executing the sales strategy and ensure they know the part they need to play. Understanding our local competition is key; this will enable you to harness opportunities and develop strong sales propositions that meet customer needs in order for us to be competitive in the local market. You will lead, motivate, engage, and delegate to empower the branch team to work together as one and to take accountability for success within the branch. Ensure that succession planning is being used to drive talent sustainability, coach and mentor direct reports “rising stars” and management apprentices as required. Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers to ensure ongoing profitability. Liaise with suppliers to create local commercial plans that seek to create profitable sales. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do; your aim will be to ensure that all our colleagues and customers leave the Branch safely by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.

What experience do you need? Previous experience within a merchant is advantageous, but not essential. This is a key customer-facing role; you need the ability to provide great customer service by building effective relationships and working as part of a team. It doesn't matter what sector you come from; we just need transferable skills such as Sales Experience, Great Customer Service, and Inspirational Leadership. We can teach you the rest.
