BRF Database Support Specialist

Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated Junior IT Role to join our team at the Crick. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with animal models and database management, as well as an understanding of the code and programming behind the programme. The successful candidate will be able to take the lead, work independently and drive a project forward, with excellent project planning, timekeeping, organisational and record-keeping skills. The salary for this role is £32,370 - £36,680 per annum, plus benefits. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Support team at the Crick and contribute to the development of our animal research programme. You will work closely with the BRF Data Analyst to deliver training in the use of chosen animal registration systems and promote standardisation of working practices across the institute. Key Responsibilities "> To provide technical support for all stakeholders via the Service Now ticketing system To develop and implement data pipelines and workflows to facilitate Extract Transform and Load processes as a precursor to generating reports and dashboards, primarily using SQL and Python To maintain and support the development of existing and new reports using tools such as Power BI, SQL and Python Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement and access to our on-site gym and restaurant.
