Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work with both hand and power tools. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, and other materials. The Brick Mason will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our projects. Responsibilities Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and blueprints. Mix mortar and other materials as required for construction tasks. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and fit materials. Ensure that all work is performed to high standards of quality and safety. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers on various projects. Conduct repairs on existing structures as needed. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Follow all health and safety regulations while on site. Requirements Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry work. Ability to weld is considered an advantage. Strong understanding of construction methods and materials. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour for extended periods.
