We are looking for a Bridge Engineer to expand the Bridges team at Align Property Services. Align Property Services, who are we? Align Property Services is a Limited Company, wholly owned by North Yorkshire Council and we are one of the largest multi-discipline building design consultancies in the North of England. We are collaborative in the way we work, offering a broad range of services in Architecture, Sustainability, Building Surveying, Project Management, Civil & Structural, Transport Planning, Bridges, Highways & Drainage Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, CDM, Property Advisory & Estate Management. As a Bridge Engineer, you will complete the appraisal, assessment, and design of bridge structures. Your eye for detail will allow you to provide accurate technical reports, such as AIPs, assessment and design reports, specifications and contract documents and provide detailed designs, from preliminary to final stage including outline cost estimates. You will work closely with our team of technicians and support them in the preparation of technical drawings and models. To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications: Working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience Have experience working on new bridge, modifications and/or maintenance projects. Knowledge and experience of using Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). Knowledge and experience of Eurocodes and British Standards for the design and assessment of bridges and civil structures.
