Lyra Deadline: 13 January 2025 at 17:00 Lyra are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to collaborate with us in the delivery of our annual festival, Bright & Wild. Bright & Wild is an annual festival with children and teens at its heart. It is a celebration of new work commissioned by and created in collaboration with Lyra's Young Artists. Each year we present four new productions, as well as a programme of Q&A discussions and the all-important wrap party. We are looking for a Technical Manager to lead on all technical and production requirements of the festival, bringing the shows and festival to life! Fee The Technical Manager will be paid an all-inclusive fee of £2992 based on 17 days of work at £176 per day. Project Dates The Technical Manager must be available for the following dates: Planning Meetings with Lead Artists (online) At mutually agreed times w/c 3 & 10 March Production Meetings (online) At mutually agreed times w/c 24 March, w/c 21 April, w/c 28 April, w/c 5 May, w/c 12 May Production Week (Get-in, Technical & Dress Rehearsals) Tuesday 20 May - Saturday 24 May 2025 (5 days) Festival Week (Get-in, Final Dress Rehearsals, Performances & Get-Out) Tuesday 3 June - Sunday 8 June 2025 (6 days) w/c 9 June 2025 (1 day) returns and wrap-up Ideally, they will also be available to attend: Work-in-progress studio sharings (in person) Wed 26 & Thu 27 Feb 4.30-6pm, Fri 28 Feb 2.30-4pm, Sat 1 Mar 1.30-3pm (If unable to attend, these can be reviewed from video) The Role The Technical Manager will be responsible for realising all technical and production requirements of the Bright & Wild festival, collaborating with the festival Producer and Designer to bring the four festival commissions to life, as directed by the Lead Artists. They will lead and oversee a team of Stage Manager/Technicians. As part of Lyra's journey towards Net Zero, we aim to deliver this festival at Theatre Green Book Basic standard. This will be the first time we have used the Theatre Green Book for Bright & Wild and we are all learning together on this with the aim of delivering a sustainable festival.
