Duties of the role:

Meeting statutory responsibilities for EHCNAs through the identification, assessment, and review of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) from 0 to 25. Supporting and helping teachers, parents, carers, and others to identify and meet needs and to prevent or resolve difficulties with young people's learning, behaviour, and social and emotional development. Taking appropriate responsibility as corporate parents for children in care and ensuring that any safeguarding concerns are acted on through the appropriate channels and legal framework. Taking ownership for continuing professional development in line with HCPC requirements. Quality assuring (using BCC guidance) and adapting work to take account of changing requirements and incorporating quality assurance feedback within the provision of advice. Note:
