An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Supported Living Brokerage Officers to join our established team, sitting within Countywide Services. This is a fixed term post initially until 31st March 2026; secondments would also be considered. You will be responsible for the sourcing of Supported Living Placements, which will involve identifying, brokering, and liaising with providers and social workers to secure appropriate placements based on individuals’ needs, taking a holistic view of accommodation settings. You will be required to manage a comprehensive, coordinated, and efficient referral process to ensure the timely commencement of appropriate placements. The postholder will need to be confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be highly organised, flexible, and able to prioritise your work. This role is a KR8 with a starting salary of £28,995 per annum, which will be subject to an annual uplift in April 2025. Option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with KCC contributions totalling 21.3% 29 days paid annual leave per year (rising to 30 after 5 years' service), plus bank holidays and a concessionary day. Flexible working – with the opportunity to work from home as well as from the office (frequency subject to agreement), and we’ll provide you with the kit needed to work remotely. This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
