Southern Nuclear Budget Analyst – Southern Nuclear Services This position will be part of a team that supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Southern Nuclear Services. This role will be responsible for cost analysis, variance analysis, and reporting for multiple levels of management, and assist in commercial support for contract management and compliance. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field OR Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.

At least one year of experience in financial planning and analysis, and budgeting. 3+ years of experience is preferred.

Ability to manage and prioritize several assignments simultaneously, adapt to emergent issues, and perform routine tasks with little direct supervision to produce desired results.

Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tool experience a plus.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and coordinate the SNS Annual Budget Process.

Monitor SNS financial performance against forecasts and budgets on a monthly basis.

Perform cost trend analysis to support the monthly reporting process and annual budget process.

Assist with proposal development for potential customers, including financial analysis and pricing terms.

Presentation development for internal and external stakeholders regarding SNS overall performance.

Interact with Southern Company AFT to ensure compliance with tax related issues, invoice reconciliation, and financial planning.

Support ad hoc financial analysis requests as needed.
