Building Architectural Contract Engineering Lead focuses on leading the technical delivery and coordination of building design packages across complex infrastructure projects.

What the role involves

• Leading the technical delivery and coordination of building design packages across complex infrastructure projects.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary engineering activities.
• Managing external design partners.
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards, safety requirements and project specifications.
• Coordinating design reviews, technical assessments and constructability reviews.
• Managing technical risks, interfaces.

Skills and requirements

• Strong experience managing building design on large-scale infrastructure or highly regulated projects.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and external contractors.
• Solid understanding of UK building standards and engineering procedures (RIBA experience highly desirable).
• Experience working within nuclear, defence, energy or other highly regulated sectors is highly advantageous.

Confirmed role details

• 3 days per week Onsite in either Bristol or London.
• Up to £800 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35) depending on experience.
• Initial contract until end of 2026 with strong likelihood of extension.
• Design partners and programme teams, ensuring delivery to schedule, quality, safety and scope requirements.
