You’ll lead and oversee the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, ensuring seamless collaboration, efficient workflows, and high-quality deliverables. If you’re passionate about driving innovation and excellence in the built environment, this role is for you.ResponsibilitiesBIM Strategy and Implementation: Develop and execute the BIM strategy for our projects, aligning with industry standards and best practices. Team Leadership: Co-ordinate with the BIM coordinator and modelers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure BIM integration throughout the project lifecycle. Quality Assurance: Oversee BIM model quality, clash detection, and adherence to project requirements. Standards and Workflows: Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows. Training and Development: Provide training to team members and promote continuous learning. Client Engagement: Communicate BIM benefits to clients and stakeholders. Communication: Effectively communicate any changes in procedures and standards to project teams. Workflow Coordination: Coordinate and manage BIM project workflow. Cross-Team Collaboration: Offer cross-team support and facilitate effective communication. Model Coordination: Set up linked models and coordinate models across various disciplines. Daily Model Management: Administer, maintain, and assure the quality of BIM models. Documentation Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of BIM Execution Plans, TIDPs/MIDPs, MPDT, Responsibility Matrices, and project-specific training guides. Best Practices Implementation: Understand and apply industry best practices during the design phase, construction, and project closeout.Qualifications and Experience Proven BIM experience: Demonstrated success in implementing BIM on complex projects. Construction Industry Experience: Hands-on experience within the construction industry is highly beneficial. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team. Software Proficiency: Expertise in Bentley and Autodesk suites (Revit, Navisworks, etc.). Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plans. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive BIM adoption and innovation Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with key stakeholders and coordinate across teams. Documentation Proficiency: Skilled in writing and editing both internal and external documentation. Microsoft Suite Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft operating suite, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerBI is advantageous.Responsibilities (nuclear specific engineering):Experience & knowledge of the UK nuclear site licence conditions and specifically those related to engineeringKnowledge of configuration controlled nuclear baseline throughout the project facility lifecycleExperience of nuclear site licence company proceduresKnowledge of generic nuclear new-build safety case: stages and key deliverables; design change control; engineering deliverablesSolid and proven knowledge of UK nuclear facility operational safety case: design change control/configuration management; facility modification; periodic review of safetyKnowledge of design substantiation process and interactions with the nuclear safety caseExperience of quality control and the relationship between nuclear safety and the project lifecycleKnowledge of the UK nuclear and environmental regulators and their interactions with UK nuclear site licence companies.Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Ideally Bachelors degree in engineering or science subject or demonstrated equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.Possess or working towards Professional membership of a relevant chartered bodyProven experience working in a complex/major project engineering delivery environment of which part in a supervisory capacity managing a single-discipline engineering delivery team including management of engineering supply chain organisations.Currently hold SC or prepared to go through the SC process.Amentum is an equals opportunities employer.Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
