Job Introduction You’ll maintain our infrastructure. We’ll help you achieve excellence.We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team. Based at the Sella Ness Industrial Estate, Sullom Voe, Shetland ZE2 9QR, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are safe, fully operational, and maintained to a high standard. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way. What you’ll do: Perform preventive and reactive electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety standards (BS 7671).Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and general building maintenance duties such as plumbing and joinery.Ensure the external grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard.Supervise specialist subcontractors when necessary and respond to emergency maintenance requests.Comply with all health and safety regulations and ensure accurate documentation of all work completed.What you bring: Qualifications & Experience:NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.8th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.Recognised Electrical Modern Apprenticeship.Emergency First Aid at Work.Portable Appliance Testing, City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent.Relevant qualifications or experience in plumbing, joinery, or general maintenance.Full, clean UK driving license.Ability to read drawings, technical manuals, schematics, and guidance.Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, joinery, and general building maintenance.Familiarity with working in a facilities management or multi-disciplinary environment.Practical experience of working with safe systems of work, permit to work and following procedures.Competencies:Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.Good communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
