Role Overview : We are seeking skilled and experienced Building Services Engineers to join our team for temporary services installation projects at Hinkley Point C. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing temporary electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 standards, performing site surveys, managing design tasks, and coordinating with subcontractors. This role involves working closely with design teams, providing support for temporary power supply designs, mechanical ventilation designs, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities : Design Temporary Electrical Installations : Develop designs for temporary electrical installations, ensuring compliance with BS7671 standards and project specifications. Cable Route Planning : Work with the site survey teams to create cable routes for site power and temporary lighting layouts. Schematical Designs and Calculations : Produce professional designs, lighting layouts, and schematical calculations using AutoCAD, Dialux, and ProDesign software. Design Team Coordination : Manage the workload distribution within the design team, monitor progress, and report on project status to ensure timely delivery. Liaison with Subcontractors : Coordinate with stakeholders and subcontractors to oversee the installation of electrical systems and mains supplies, ensuring smooth integration with the project. Support for Mechanical Ventilation Design : Assist in calculating and designing temporary mechanical ventilation systems, including extract and supply ventilation. Electrical Containment Systems Installation : Oversee the installation of electrical containment systems, ensuring safety compliance and system efficiency. Cost Estimation Support : Work with the estimating department to produce accurate project cost estimates, liaising with suppliers as necessary. Health and Safety Inspections : Participate in Health and Safety Targeted Inspections and provide observation reports to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. My profile

Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or Level 4 in Building Services Engineering Technician. Proven experience in building services engineering, preferably in large-scale construction projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, and ProDesign software. Strong understanding of BS7671 standards and electrical safety regulations. Excellent project management and team coordination skills. Familiarity with mechanical ventilation systems and electrical containment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Diversity Commitment
