We are seeking a dedicated and proactive
Building Services Engineer
to join our facilities team in Manchester. In this varied role, you will assist with the maintenance of the building, ground equipment, and building schedules. You’ll need solid mechanical and DIY skills, and the ability to work independently on small projects with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and assist contractors on-site. Respond to breakdowns and reactive calls. Obtain quotes for third-party work. Collaborate with the Motor Transport Engineer and Electrician on ground equipment and building maintenance. Assist with office moves and relocations. Be available for on-call duties outside of regular hours. Perform small to medium jobs such as painting, basic plumbing, and basic joinery. Conduct Pat Testing on equipment. Skills and Qualifications:
Able to work at height safely. Experience in fault finding, detection, rectification, and installation across multiple skills. Electrical bias is advantageous. Strong all-around DIY skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Full, clean UK driver’s license. IPAF license is desirable, but not essential. Additional Requirements:
Must obtain airside passes for various airports. Completion of full security vetting (SC) is required. Company pension scheme. Free on-site parking. About STS Aviation Services:
