Conducting in-depth surveys utilizing specialist equipment to assist in the diagnosis of disrepair issues and any minor structural defects. Carrying out ‘joint surveys’ with other expert witnesses to agree on required remedial works (for Scott Schedules) and estimate the value of works required. Project managing remedial works including site visits and audit inspections to ensure that specifications and quality standards are complied with. Arranging, preparing, and distributing relevant repair information to the legal team on request and attending court in the capacity of expert witness. Obtaining accurate and detailed information about necessary repairs/improvements to properties, and undertaking a range of surveys, including Stock Condition, Energy Efficiency, HHSRS, Legionella, and Asbestos. To be successful in this role, you will have:
A recognised building qualification (HNC or equivalent minimum). Experience working in a social housing environment, dealing with contracts and contract management. Experience and knowledge of Disrepair protocol and resolving claims. An understanding of and experience with the application of the HHSRS legislation. A working knowledge of Housing legislation and in particular Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, Health and Safety, CDM, Asbestos at Work, Party Wall Act, etc. Experience using IT applications and Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
