J85907 Venn Group has been approached by a local housing association in Teesside to recruit for a Building Surveyor on a permanent basis. As the successful candidate, you will have experience working as a Surveyor within Social Housing, specifically in structural surveying and damp and mould. The duties will include: Carry out 4-6 surveys per day to identify and assess potential issues. Survey a variety of properties including extra care schemes, high-rises, domestic tenanted, void, and fire-damaged properties. Complete damp and mould surveys. Raise necessary orders for completion of works in line with NATFED SoR Codes. Manage subcontractors and internal teams ensuring the correct completion of work. Use PDA systems to log works. Effectively manage time to complete and maintain accurate reports and administrative duties. Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure works are carried out effectively. Essential Skills/Qualifications: Extensive experience in working to CDM regulations. Experienced in working with SoR codes (training provided of NATFED). Proficient in using IT equipment and software such as computers and tablet devices. Experience in Social Housing. Ability to work alone and as part of a team. Benefits: Market Supplement on top of salary of £3599. 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and birthday off. Pension scheme with employer matching up to 17% contributions.
