Building Surveyor Permanent role Location – Cumbria, North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire A Building Surveyor is required to join a Building Design Consultancy in their offices in either Cumbria, West Yorkshire or North Yorkshire. The company is a multi-discipline building design consultancy in the North of England, offering a broad range of services in Building Surveying, Civil & Structural, Highways and Drainage Engineering, and more. Building Surveyor Benefits: Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 Annual leave: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to purchase up to 10 additional days leave per year Pension scheme: up to 6% contribution Hybrid working to support you in a healthy work-life balance Ongoing professional development Good maternity leave package Flexible working system allowing team members to accrue 1.5 days flexi time per month Cycle2work scheme Discounts from leading retailers Building Surveyor The role: Collaborating on diverse projects including refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance, and new build projects across Cumbria Providing a variety of services including those relating to building pathology, design, project management, building surveys, and contract administration Producing plans, sections, and detail drawings for construction using AutoCAD for refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance, and new build projects Producing, submitting, and managing planning, building regulation, and listed building applications Carrying out site inspections and surveys Writing Building Survey reports Playing an essential part of a busy and professional team, providing the best and most cost-effective solutions for a varied property portfolio Building Surveyor Requirements: Hold a RICS accredited Building Surveying degree Member of RICS (or working towards) Knowledge and post-degree experience of building surveying Proficiency with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD, and NBS software Practical experience of applying knowledge of the RICS competence elements in a number of projects A full UK driving license and ability to travel when required
