Building Surveyor
to join an industry-leading, multidisciplinary consultancy based from their Sevenoaks office or London office. Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice that offers a range of services including Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Fire Engineering, Employers Agent, etc. They work with a variety of clients including local authorities, commercial clients, private organizations, PFI & Building Managers, and Public Sectors. The Building Surveyor will be responsible for providing professional services as well as completing project-based work, specification writing, and contract administration. Conduct detailed inspections of high-rise, educational, or healthcare buildings, emphasizing the identification and documentation of defects and structural issues. Leverage building pathology expertise to identify apparent and potential defects in residential properties. Articulate and explain various types of defects found in a variety of buildings, providing comprehensive reports with clear insights and recommended remedial actions. Assess the quality and cause/effect of building defects, particularly in the context of domestic structures. Utilize knowledge of building pathology to enhance the depth of defect analysis. Report writing and contract administration for high-rise remediation works. Assist with and understand the tender process and procurement of key consultants. Minimum Requirements
Relevant professional qualifications and memberships. Comprehensive knowledge of Building Regulations and Fire Safety legislation in England. Building pathology experience is essential.
