A highly successful and expanding consultancy has a new vacancy for a Building Surveyor to join its expanding team in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Working closely with a wide range of clients, you will provide technical support and guidance on a range of projects. Candidates are sought with excellent project management skills, will have MRICS qualification, and a degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.

The Role:

Manage projects from design to delivery, ensuring compliance with the Construction Safety Act, Building Regulation Act, and Building Safety Act. Conduct surveys, provide advice, and prepare detailed building reports. Oversee building control applications and collaborate with conservation officers on listed building projects. Coordinate with key stakeholders, ensuring everyone involved in the design process is kept up to date. Provide expert guidance to clients on their duties under the Building Safety Act, ensuring they understand their responsibilities. Conduct regular site visits to monitor the construction work. Ensure all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure. Prepare and review tenders with estimators and assist with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering. Develop good long-term relationships with existing clients and meet new clients to provide consultancy support from design through to completion.

The Person:

MRICS qualification with a degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline. Strong project management skills and knowledge of CDM and Building Regulations. Commercially astute with good stakeholder management and reporting skills. A self-starter with the ability to manage workloads independently. Understanding of Listed Building applications and previous experience working with Conservation Officers preferred (not essential). A thorough understanding of CDM Regulations and Building Regulations.
