As a Building Surveyor, you will be mainly working on small projects typical of a university campus environment, e.g.
New Toilet facilities Replacement of roof and windows Fit out You will be involved from start to finish, measuring up and carrying out a survey, then producing a drawing (CAD skills would be advantageous) through to appointing contractors and managing to completion. You will typically have 20 projects on the go at once, all at different stages.
What you'll need to succeed A degree or HNC/HND in building surveying or similar Excellent IT Skills Refurbishment/Small works Project management experience Design and surveying experience Self Starter
