We are now looking for a Buildings Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As a Buildings Officer, you will support the maintenance and repair of Authority buildings, structures and surfaces and delivery of project work across the National Park.

Specifically, you will oversee the delivery of the maintenance and surfaces maintenance programmes, assist with capital projects, conduct detailed condition surveys, and uphold health and safety standards, throughout every stage of the work.

Liaising with contractors and internal teams, you will drive maintenance and project work to successful completion, delivering exceptional results on time and within budget.

Additionally, you will:

Use our asset management system to plan, procure, deliver and monitor maintenance works Prepare project specifications, procure contractors and oversee delivery Monitor contractor performance and ensure the quality of workmanship Manage Health & Safety and project finances, including instructions, variations and payments

About You

To be considered as a Buildings Officer, you will need:

At least three years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant role Experience managing maintenance and project works on varied property portfolios Experience conducting surveys and preparing detailed reports Knowledge of construction health & safety and CDM 2015 regulations Strong communication, data management, and organisational skills A degree in construction or a related field A full, valid driving licence
