£32,000 per year Initial 3 Month Contract We are looking for a Buildings Technician to support some of our fantastic pubs, based from the Akeman Inn (Kingswood, Aylesbury). The successful applicant's duties will involve the collection of a company vehicle from the Akeman Inn and required travel to Oakman Group pubs within the estate performing general maintenance duties. Oakfest , our annual company festival! Refer a friend and Chef recruitment incentives of up to £1,000 What does it entail: Providing day-to-day repairs and upkeep of the interior and exterior areas of our pubs and hotels in the Oakman Group. Occasional grass cutting and basic garden maintenance to cover leave and as required. Assisting with remedials to ensure we meet legal compliance, and our pubs and hotels are well maintained and look great for our guests. Learning and building your knowledge of all areas of the pubs you are responsible for, as well as general maintenance skills. Ability to prioritise tasks while working closely with site management. Working well with other team members to ensure a smooth and prompt response to any maintenance issues. Attending training and completing e-learning modules to improve your skills and aid your development. What skills will you have: A good working knowledge of general maintenance including experience in plumbing, general building, carpentry, and painting and decorating. Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety at work regulations. The ability to work in a team, independently, and around guests. Ability to effectively forward plan and purchase relevant materials for day's work. Ability to keep basic records and submit purchases through the company expenses system in line with deadlines. The ability to think on your feet, respond quickly, and problem solve effectively. The role has manual physical elements and involves both internal and external working. You will need a full clean UK driving licence and the ability to drive a small van. (Due to vehicle insurance purposes, applicants must be 25 years of age +) Good command of written & spoken English.
