Bureau Manager Optima Energy is looking for a data-focused Bureau Analyst to support our growing team. About Optima Energy: Optima Energy, part of Valsoft Corporation, is a leading provider of energy management software designed to manage and analyze energy data. We enable businesses and institutions to ensure that the energy they pay for is the energy they have consumed, at single locations or across multiple sites, and help organizations meet the net zero reporting imperative. The Role: The Bureau Analyst is responsible for auditing and validating energy bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with client contracts and usage data. This role involves analyzing billing statements, identifying discrepancies, and working with both clients and suppliers to resolve issues. The Bureau Analyst plays a key role in ensuring clients are billed correctly and identifies opportunities for cost savings. The position requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Bill Auditing & Validation: Review and analyze energy bills to verify accuracy against client contracts and consumption data. Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in billing statements and escalate issues as needed. Ensure that all invoices are validated according to established procedures and timelines. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize software tools to analyze billing data and detect patterns or anomalies. Prepare and deliver reports on validation results, highlighting discrepancies, corrections, and potential savings opportunities. Maintain accurate records of all validation activities and client communications. Client & Supplier Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain findings, discuss billing discrepancies, and address any concerns or questions. Work with energy suppliers and vendors to resolve billing issues and ensure timely corrections. Act as a point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and provide support throughout the validation process. Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the bill validation process by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements. Participate in the development and implementation of new validation procedures and automation tools. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all validation activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and client agreements. Support quality assurance efforts by following best practices and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. About You: Experienced with analyzing and accurately processing high volumes of quantitative data. Capable of creating accurate reports using data to present information. Proficient with O365 products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Excellent communication and able to work well in a small team. Highly organized and can prioritize tasks efficiently.
