Job SummaryPlease note salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours.Work pattern - Monday to Friday - 17.50 hrs per week Term Time ( – & – ).You will support the Education Service to ensure pupils with Additional Support Needs are transported between home and school, in line with personal requirements and Council procedures and school processes.You will have a pleasant tolerant manner and a proven capacity to establish positive relationships with children and young people. Experience of working with children and young people with additional support needs and an interest in their development as well as previous experience of working as a bus escort is desirable.PVG / Disclosure ScotlandThe following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteriaWhere the post you are applying for is considered Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, , successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment.In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment.
