The Change Delivery Team, based within the Resources Directorate, is made up of Project Managers and Business Analysts and plays a key role in delivering key projects and business change initiatives across the Council.

About the job

We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst to work within this team to cover maternity for a 12-month period.

The post holder will be assisting in delivering projects and service improvement initiatives within the Finance section, and across the Council. The post holder will also be providing administration support to senior managers within the Finance section that will cover areas such as performance management and risk.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for an individual with good analytical skills, an ability to assess a problem from multiple angles, who is comfortable working with various forms of data, and has an interest in change and improvement in a business setting.

You will have some experience of undertaking research and analysis, both independently and as part of a team, and have an aptitude for problem solving.

You will have good communication and writing skills, able to present information clearly and effectively for a range of different audiences.

A good level of ICT competency will be a pre-requisite, specifically with Microsoft Office.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience in reviewing business processes and producing and presenting statistical business information to facilitate service improvement. Have experience of developing, appraising, and recommending options for business improvement. Have experience of stakeholder management, including developing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders. Additional Information

This post is Temporary until 31/07/2025.

The Council has adopted hybrid working practices which apply to this role, meaning most of the work can be undertaken either in the office, at home, or at another suitable location. However, there may be a requirement to visit a Council office location occasionally for certain meetings as needed.
