WJ are the UK's leading road marking and highways safety business. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions.

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and implement solutions that drive business success. Initially the role will focus on improving operational contracting efficiency and optimisation.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Requirement Gathering:

Engage with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and objectives. Analysis and Documentation:

Analyse business processes, identify areas for improvement, and document current and future state workflows. Solution Development:

Collaborate with IT and operational leadership teams to design, develop, and implement business solutions that meet stakeholder needs. Data Analysis:

Conduct data analysis, combining multiple sources and systems to support business decisions, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Project Management:

Assist in project planning, execution, and management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Communication:

Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders at both operational management and SLT. Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with teams to implement changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for business initiatives. Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Education:

Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in core Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, IFS Business reporter), and project management software (e.g., MS Project). Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data and business processes. Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Interpersonal Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Attention to Detail:

High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work. Adaptability:

Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities. Preferably previous

experience

in a contracting, operational or manufacturing industry. Additional Information
