Taitara Mahi – Project Genesis – Business Analyst, Fixed Term 2 years

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to bring their support, detail, quality, and delivery focus to a major Information Technology system upgrade – Project Genesis. This role will also enable you to develop your change management skills.
Hastings District Council has commenced a programme of work to move our Finance, Spatial, Property & Rating core enterprise reporting platform Technology1 from on-premises to a Cloud platform.
Reporting to the Senior Digital Project Manager, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by understanding and translating business needs into actionable solutions – helping to transition the council from existing on-prem configured systems to out of the box processes in a Cloud system.
This is achieved through:
Requirements gathering (if required)
Stakeholder communications
Process analysis and improvement
Documentation
Support technology development and testing
Risk and issue management
The successful candidate will also evolve their change management skills as we integrate project management methodology with change management good practice. This will be supported by our Senior Digital Change Manager.

To be successful in this role you will have:
A recognised industry qualification
Experience with management and delivery of assigned process improvement projects and initiatives to achieve business goals
Document gap analysis for existing systems for quick wins
A cool and collected manner when working under pressure
