Business and Financial Operations Manager – Young Croydon – Children Services – Croydon Council Permanent – 36 hours per week Job Purpose The post holder will be expected to deliver professional intensive, targeted and high-quality financial and business advice to staff, colleagues, and partners. Responsibilities include leading and managing the performance of Business Support Officers and Direct Payment Officers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and reflection of practice that inspires staff to excel in their roles. The successful candidate will ensure that internal and external deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge while developing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with new requirements and legislation. About You An experienced Finance Manager / Accountant, qualified to degree level. It is essential for the successful candidate to be ATT qualified. You should have a good understanding of working in social care, knowledge of forecasting, financial planning, management, developing budgets, and monitoring spend. Requirements Knowledge and understanding of recent financial regulations and processes. Ability to deliver training (or willingness to learn) programs that are essential parts of the financial process. Experience of working in social care settings. Exceptional ability to prioritize workloads, analyze information, and develop business relationships.
