currently studying a degree with a placement year

completing either a

Business, Logistics or Supply Chain related degree

and have a keen ambition to gain experience within

Sales and Analysis

of a fast-moving consumer good business. This is a

12-month placement

aimed at those who elect to complete a ‘year-in-industry’ as part of their degree, with the potential to return to Greencore once you have completed your undergraduate degree. What you'll be doing

The Greencore

Commercial Analyst Executive Placement

is a unique, hybrid role, supporting both the Service & Business account managers. Designed to help you gain valuable knowledge and experience that supports your future career ambitions in the

food

&

logistics

industry. Your role will be to influence and support Commercial & Operational decisions by bringing data analysis, challenge, and insight to proactively support the business. This will include: Support the Business Manager in the day-to-day management of the customer account and delivery of sustained profitable growth for a specific customer base. Identify key insights and actions internally and with the customer. Validation and checking of sets of data to ensure business information is aligned (e.g., sales forecast). Continuously review business practices to make recommendations for changes which will enhance cost efficiency. Creating, monitoring & driving improvement of internal & external service KPI reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly & annual basis. Liaising with third parties to drive service improvement. Supporting the implementation & continued improvement of Greencore’s internal service strategy. Liaising and collaborating with internal colleagues. Offering exemplary customer service & acting as the point of escalation of service issues. Interpreting & analysing a large amount of sales & service data. Developing knowledge of internal & external systems & supporting areas of master data. Closely supporting both Sales & Operations functions to encourage & enhance collaborative working between teams. At the end of the placement, you will have gained

valuable on-the-job experience

while also gaining

knowledge of a commercial environment

within the

food industry. You will be assigned a

mentor

who will support you in your development throughout the placement. You’ll also get to network with other Early Careers colleagues across the business and attend external events to help you develop your network in the wider industry. What We’re Looking For
