Strategy and Transformation Director What to expect

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Strategy and Transformation Function as we look to scale and transform the Post Office network for future generations. You will play a pivotal role in managing the development, delivery, and approval of Green Book-compliant business cases at Post Office Limited, including where required business cases that align to Government Major Projects Portfolio (GMPP) standards. This role involves coordinating cross-functional work across Post Office Ltd and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, including our Executive Committee, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA), and other relevant entities. What you’ll need to succeed

Strong track record of successfully managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including government departments and advisory bodies. An ability to manage multiple workstreams at the same time, working flexibly as required and delivering projects within defined timeframes. Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and make evidence-based recommendations. Experience in developing and editing Green Book-compliant business cases for large-scale, complex projects, preferably within a GMPP or government context. Experience in drafting one or more of the cases of a Five-Case Model would be beneficial. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presenting to senior stakeholders and preparing formal business documentation. In-depth and applied knowledge of HM Treasury’s Green Book guidelines, GMPP processes, and government project management frameworks. About us
