Business Controller / Management Accountant
Business Controller/Management Accountant; 12 months; 35 hours a week; based in Broughton; £39.98 per hour Umbrella or £30.22 per hour PAYE.
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Business Controller/Management Accountant to work for a leading aerospace client based in Broughton. The role involves varied business unit controlling and management accounting, requiring strong analytical skills. There will be both recurring and ad-hoc activities, with a focus on making processes leaner, along with project-based opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process across all business units, ensuring robust financial planning and consistency with company financial objectives. Work closely with local business/operational managers to define and propose improvement projects for the budget assumption pack, validating financial information for decision making. Manage the provision of robust financial reporting to local and central operational/controlling teams to ensure visibility of performance versus target and early warning of potential financial risks. Challenge operational performance and support management in achieving targets by driving improvement measures and mitigation actions on financial topics. Participate in the assessment of business cases/proposals for operational investments and performance improvement projects, ensuring robust challenge of assumptions and financial evaluations. Conduct financial controlling activities in the categories: Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost, and Capex Jigs/Tools (on request).
Qualifications: We are looking for a CIMA qualified Accountant with experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment. You will have knowledge and experience in SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools, along with the ability to work in a dynamic, enthusiastic team and contribute with a positive, proactive mindset. Strong communication skills are essential to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels and in different countries. A continuous improvement mindset is also required.
