This Business Crime and Regulatory team in London is seeking to expand with the recruitment of a solicitor or experienced accredited police station representative.
The team deals with the full spectrum of privately funded criminal and regulatory cases; this includes advising on and defending corporate criminal investigations, professional misconduct and disciplinary proceedings, as well as high value fraud, serious general crime, and extradition. In particular, the BCR team is expanding their already well-established professional misconduct practice into police misconduct investigations and proceedings, including inquests and other related proceedings.

In-depth knowledge of criminal and regulatory law As well as supporting partners in the team on complex cases, you will run your own mixed caseload, with a focus on police criminal and misconduct work. The ideal candidate will: Be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of criminal and regulatory law. Have up to three years’ PQE in a leading criminal firm or equivalent experience in criminal law. Have confidence in their ability to advise clients in interviews under caution with a variety of investigating agencies. Experience in advising on professional misconduct and disciplinary proceedings, in particular police misconduct proceedings, is preferred.
