Zaizi has a growing business within the UK National Security sector, working with a number of new and existing government clients, with ambitious plans to transform their use of digital services. The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in expanding our relationships within the sector, taking our strategy to the next level and accelerating our growth. New Business Development (70%): Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government national security sector. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth. Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging opportunities. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, actively engaging with prospects through various channels, including networking events, cold outreach, and industry conferences. Identify and establish partnerships that will accelerate our footprint within the sector and enable a broader offering. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral and targeted campaigns. Client Management and Growth (30%): Cultivate and nurture relationships with our existing national security clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling. Work collaboratively with our National Security Club, to understand clients' evolving needs and provide insights for proposition development. Conduct regular account reviews and collaborate with clients to identify areas for optimisation and improvement. Implement strategies to retain and grow existing accounts, demonstrating the ongoing value of solutions. Minimum Requirements: Proven track record of selling digital services and solutions to central government entities in the UK and specifically within National Security. Strong understanding of how the public sector works, commercially and at project and programme level. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, resulting in customer loyalty and repeat business. Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a results-oriented mindset. Understanding of government and industry digital standards and approaches. SC Clearance: Zaizi works with UK Central Government departments on a range of projects. To be able to work on our customer projects, employees must be Security Cleared to a standard acceptable to our Government customers. Due to this restriction we can currently only recruit candidates who have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and who have lived in the UK for the last 5+ years continuously. Interview Process: Initial phone screening done by a member of the recruitment team. Technical interview, this stage evaluates your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities, especially if you're applying for a technical role. 10-15 min presentation and a panel interview where multiple people from different departments ask you questions. Salary: £70,000-100,000 plus OTE 25 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays.
