We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing sales function to focus on growing our Cloud Application & Cloud Technology consulting and services business. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team focused upon one of the fastest growing offerings in the technology market. In this role you will use your relationships and your knowledge of Cloud technology platforms and applications, the hyperscaler ecosystem and propositions to acquire new customers leveraging Sogeti’s market leading offerings in this space and global delivery capability. We are interested in people that have experience developing business and enduring client engagements in the Mid-Market space of UK&I and rapid growth technology areas from ‘hyperscaler’ (Microsoft, AWS and Google) native ‘boutique’ system integrators, consulting and service providers and cloud native SaaS technology companies. Hybrid working : The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. Your role

You will be responsible for various new business building activities, typically: Driving the Sogeti pipeline, bookings, and revenue by positioning the value of and driving discussions around cloud strategy, cloud migration, managing cloud infrastructure and cloud platform engineering / application modernisation, with the aim of developing new relationships and revenue streams. You will be selling Cloud technology solutions with a strong focus on end to end cloud solutions, leveraging core cloud products and with integrations to other technology stacks. Additional areas include driving ongoing support agreements, collaborating with hyperscaler partners for funding investments. You will work primarily with the Cloud technology and application related practices across the UK and drive demand generation programs to grow the associated Sogeti pipeline, working with marketing, other business units and partners. Development of winning propositions and solutions to meet client needs, across all of Sogeti’s delivery capabilities and ultimately bringing new customers to Sogeti UK. Leading new business written proposals, bids and client presentations to win new customers. Reviewing, analysing, and responding to tender documentation and customer’s procurement. Driving new business in existing accounts. Maintain industry, sector, and Cloud technology knowledge by attending key workshops; growing personal networks; and participating in professional events. Your skills and experience

Previous experience of successfully selling a range of Cloud technology consulting services, including hyperscalers and cloud native applications and technologies, with a detailed understanding of leading products and propositions in the UK Mid-Market. Experience driving Cloud transformational deals in collaboration with hyperscalers and cloud native applications. Demonstrable experience of holding a successful new business development focused role, including attracting new customers / logos into your company’s portfolio. Previous experience in an IT consultancy, in a new business development role, focused upon technical sales, cloud or digital native technologies, products and services. Previous experience of working with Cloud technology partners to build pipeline and grow business. Experience of successfully hitting new business targets short, medium and long term. Good commercial knowledge for making T&M (Time & Material) / Fixed Price / Managed Services deals as well as typical Cloud consumption / SaaS licensing / subscription models. Experience in new business networking and developing new customer relationships. Ability to define demand generation strategies in each of the target market segments. Ability to prospect to generate leads with the Cloud technology partner channel and via marketplace ecosystem. Experience of working with a global delivery model – offshore/nearshore is a big positive. The ability to own proposals, presentations, articulation of value to prospects. Knowledge of using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce. Flexibility on travel / work locations during the working week to meet customers. A self-starting individual and able to set and manage goals. Passionate for knowledge, as this is a fast paced, constantly evolving technology market. An excellent and honest communicator who possesses great oral, listening and written skills.
