Our client is an innovative supplier of bespoke solutions and engineering services of critical applications for Aerospace, Defence, Space and other civil markets. We are currently targeting substantial growth by leveraging well-established long-term relationships, looking toward new markets with market leading capabilities and through acquisition. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts in the UK’s defence sector. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of the defence sector, a proven track record in business development and the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers, typically prime and tier one contractors. You will leverage the strengths and capabilities of the whole group, combining an enviable track record locally in the UK with expertise from sister companies in France and Germany. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a key contributor to our business development strategy, engaging with stakeholders at all levels from engineers to C-suite executives. Largely autonomous, you will have freedom to develop existing customers and to explore new opportunities, aligning with our strategic company objectives. About you: You are an energetic, results-orientated professional with a passion for building relationships and delivering bespoke solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess the following attributes: Proven track record of business development, sales or account management within the defence sector. Strategic thinker, able to assess market opportunities, prioritise prospects and develop actionable growth plans. Strong communicator, with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Technical acumen – familiarity with technical and engineering concepts, with a consultative approach to solution development. Experience preparing bids and proposals.
