Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Business Development Manager to join their Fairs & Events product team at London ExCeL. This role is integral to driving commercial growth for their UK business, and the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and business development. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Fairs and Events sector in the UK, in partnership with the Business Development Director. Account manage and enhance business levels for the ExCeL London partnership. Boost commercial growth for domestic strategic accounts and their international operations. Duties Include: Building and maintaining a robust pipeline for the Fairs and Events sector in the UK. Establishing strong relationships with customers and internal teams. Regularly updating and managing the company’s pipeline tool. Producing monthly reports for the Sales Director and the UK management team. Developing long-term partnerships with key clients to increase customer retention and loyalty. Supporting any additional projects or duties assigned by the Business Development Director. Skills and Competencies: A proactive and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills. Proven experience in sales and business development within the freight, logistics, or event sectors. Solid understanding of freight forwarding (air, sea, and road) and logistics solutions. Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with the capability to identify and seize market opportunities. Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
