Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the organization, which will require travel to manage the territory. This is a hunting role with business opportunities around the wider South Island region. You will need to build strategic working relationships with customers, influencing decisions and making sound financial interpretations with a solid knowledge of our client products, services, procedures, and processes. ABOUT YOU:

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and a proven industry track record that can demonstrate your achievements. The primary responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to): Finding, developing, and managing new customer opportunities. Maintaining and developing existing customers for additional growth. Liaising directly with shipping lines for relevant pricing support. Working collaboratively with the broader sales team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Thinks outside the box and will use your initiative. A team player with the ability to work well under pressure. Pro-active and resourceful with excellent time management. B2B solution selling experience. CargoWise experience would be an advantage. Strong communication; verbal and written. Excellent negotiation and numerical skills. Professional attitude and presentation as well as highly motivated. Ability to seal the deal. SOUND LIKE YOU?
